Who We Are
Nursing HelpDesk provides one-to-one academic coaching for nursing students in BSN, RN-to-BSN, MSN, NP, PMHNP, and DNP programs. Our website is nursinghelpdesk.com, and you can reach us at hello@nursinghelpdesk.com. For this policy, "we", "us", and "our" mean Nursing HelpDesk, the controller of the personal information described below.
Information We Collect
We only collect personal information that you choose to give us. Each form on this site asks for the minimum we need:
- Contact and consultation requests. Your name, email address, program or degree level, and the message you write to us.
- Student story submissions. The name you want displayed, your email address (used only to verify and follow up, never displayed), your program, your story, and a record of the permission checkbox you ticked.
- Coach applications. Your name, email address, the role you are applying for, an optional LinkedIn or resume link, and the experience summary you provide.
- Newsletter and resource signups. Your email address.
- Automatic technical data. Like almost every website, our server and analytics record technical details such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and time on page. We use this in aggregate to understand how the site is used; we do not use it to identify you personally.
We do not collect payment card details through this website, and we never ask for your student portal, school email, or course login credentials.
How We Use Your Information
- To reply to your questions and schedule consultations and coaching sessions.
- To deliver the coaching, feedback, and resources you asked for.
- To review and, only with your written permission, publish a story you submitted.
- To evaluate coach applications and contact applicants.
- To send newsletters or study resources you signed up for. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
- To keep the website fast, secure, and improving, using aggregated analytics.
What We Never Do
- We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.
- We never contact your school, professors, clinical sites, or employer about you.
- We never publish your email address anywhere on the site.
- We never publish a testimonial or story without your explicit written permission.
- We never send marketing to people who did not sign up for it.
Student Confidentiality
Nursing students often worry about whether using academic support will be visible to their program. It will not. Your coaching relationship with us is confidential. We do not report, disclose, or confirm your use of our services to any school, instructor, or licensing body, and nothing about our coaching model requires us to. Our services are designed around academic integrity: we coach, explain, and give feedback while you remain the author of your own work, so there is nothing to hide and nothing to disclose.
Cookies and Analytics
This site uses a small number of cookies:
- Performance cookies. Our caching system sets technical cookies so pages load quickly. They contain no personal information.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, which pages and resources help students most. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser settings.
Because comments are disabled across this site, we do not set comment-related cookies and no comment data is collected.
WhatsApp and Third-Party Services
Some buttons on this site open WhatsApp so you can message us directly. WhatsApp is operated by Meta and is governed by its own privacy policy; a conversation you start there is handled under WhatsApp's terms as well as ours. Links to outside resources, such as style guides, databases, and official publications, take you to sites we do not control, and their privacy practices are their own. We only ever link to resources we believe are legitimate and useful.
Who We Share Data With
We share personal information only with the small set of service providers needed to run this website: our web hosting provider, our email delivery service, and Google Analytics as described above. Each processes data on our behalf and is not permitted to use it for its own purposes. Beyond that, we would disclose personal information only if a law, court order, or genuine safety concern required it.
How Long We Keep Your Data
- Inquiries and coaching records: for as long as needed to support you, then deleted on request or during periodic cleanups.
- Published stories: for as long as your permission stands. Withdraw it at any time and the story comes down.
- Coach applications: for the current hiring cycle, unless you ask us to keep your application on file.
- Newsletter emails: until you unsubscribe.
Your Rights and Choices
Wherever you live, we extend the same rights to you: you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, withdraw permission for a published story, and unsubscribe from any email list. To exercise any of these, email hello@nursinghelpdesk.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU, UK, or a jurisdiction with specific data protection laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, these rights are yours by law, including the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.
Data Security
This site is served over HTTPS, form submissions are protected against spam and abuse, and access to submitted information is limited to the people who need it to support you. No website can promise perfect security, but we deliberately keep the amount of personal data we hold small, which is the most reliable protection there is. Our services are intended for adults enrolled in or applying to nursing programs; this website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
